My favourite place to stay when in Amsterdam. Great location and no stairs to negotiate. Now has a new Metro station nearby. Goes without saying that I would stay here again. 5 stars.

perfect located, nice apartment, lovely host - if we come to amsterdam again we ll be happy to stay here for a second time!

The host was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is at the rear (courtyard) side of the house on a side street which was nice and quiet at night. Large windows for plenty of natural light The place was clean and the perfect size for myself and 2 others, In addition to a complete kitchen, There is a second toilet in the entry hall which was good to have available. Excellent Wifi. The small garden area was just right to enjoy breakfast. Bonus is the heated floor in the main area when it was colder in the evenings. A few steps away is an Albert Heijn for supplies and also a bakery and pharmacy within 2 blocks. Would definitely book again, Thanks!

I\'ve stayed here a number of times and have always enjoyed being at this apartment. Would stay here again and recommend this apartment to anyone who wants a nice place to stay in Amsterdam. I like the location being near Rembrandtplein and it is the perfect walking distance to the city centre.

My family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) stayed her for 5 nights. The unit is on the ground floor of a residential building, and the owner lives above. LOCATION: good location on Kerkstraat within walking distance of Museumplein (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh). The tram to Centraal station also runs close with a stop 2 blocks north on Vijzelstraat. There is also an Albert Heijin grocery at the corner of Kerkstraat and Vijzelstraat. UNIT: The unit is spacious with 2 levels (loft style) with the kitchen, dining area, living area, and Queen size bed on the entry level. The upstairs loft area has 2 Twin Beds and the Bathroom with shower. Only significant downside is that the open loft means that there is no sound barrier between the upstairs and downstairs area. The stairs to the loft section are relatively steep and require some care to go up and down. The kitchen is well-equipped with a gas stovetop, refrigerator, electric oven, microwave, coffeemaker, and dishwasher.

Great apartment. The hostess, Beatrice, was lovely. The location is superb and the amenities are fantastic. I\'d recommend it in a heartbeat.

Bahnticket. Nette Vermieterin! Viel besser als ein kleines Hotelzimmer. Nur zu empfehlen!!

Charming place with beautiful windows and gardens. Host was extremely nice and accomodating. Location was perfect with close proximity to everything. I Would definatley stay here again.

This was an excellent choice for us - central but quiet location, easy access to transport, shops etc. Apartment was well equipped, beds comfoprtable and pretty spacious considering it is a 'studio'. Would certainly re-use on a return visit

This is a very lovely apartment. I found it very large for a studio and the lovely little garden out back made for some lovely peaceful moments. The main bed (there is room for two more sleepers upstairs) is perhaps the most comfortable bed I have ever slept it! The location is perfect! Right in the middle of so much that Amsterdam has to offer but still extremely and quiet since it is set back from the road -- truly a unique setup for Amsterdam :) Another unique aspect of the apartment is the bathroom. I would say that, if you are traveling alone, or with someone you are extremely close with, it's fine but, being somewhat open (there is no door to close yourself into the room) it lacks the privacy that some may enjoy or require when needing to use the toilet. That is the most elegant way I can state that ;) Also, the fact that the apartment is on the street level makes coming and going as you please that much easier since you never have to deal with climbing narrow and/or steep staircases which are typical in Amsterdam. Finally, the landlady was very warm and welcoming and clearly takes pride in offering a spotlessly clean and beautiful accommodation. I would rate it a 9 out of 10 but only because of the bathroom setup. The value for the cost is exceptional and finding a hotel room as specious and nice as this would cost 10 times as much (if you could even find such a place!) -- A+!!! Highly recommended.

We were very impressed with this accommodation. Ria was very personable and was accessible but not intrusive. The apartment was spacious enough for 4 persons so 2 people were very well situated. The garden is like another room; both the neighbors' dogs were also very friendly and would ask for attention when we were in the garden. Everything worked, although the dish washer was a mystery. The mattresses were firm and comfortable. It was very pleasant being able to cook breakfast instead of rushing to meet a hotel's serving times. The street is very quiet and within easy walking distance of 4 tram lines and a neighborhood Albert Heijn grocery. For dinner, the Rembrandtplein and the Leidseplein are each a short stroll away. Only one suggestion. The steps leading upstairs to the bath & beds would be better with a handrail or two. All in all, a very nice experience and one I would recommend to others.

Great place to stay, would choose to stay here again the next time I'm in Amsterdam, David from Australia

I really liked this place as it was very clean and very quiet. It looks out onto a garden so no noise from the street. It's very central, I walked everywhere. I would stay here again. The owner lives upstairs but I never saw her after our initial meeting. She was very helpful in ensuring I had everything I needed.

Really lovely little apartment, clean and well furnished. Appreciated the little yard at the back of the apartment in the very hot (yes really) Amsterdam sunshine. We were only 2 people and it was just right for us, I think it would be a bit snug if 4 people were staying there. Very good location, close enough to the centre to walk to. Quiet street. We hired bikes and there was space to leave them in the corridor inside the apartment building. I would recommend this apartment highly, especially for 2 people. A real home from home.

Having stayed on a boat the last couple of times I visited I decided to try this small studio apartment on the Kerkstraat. I really liked it: terrific location, in a really impressive residential street, close to the parts of Amsterdam I like most. Quirky design with an open-plan mezzanine floor. Very nice landlady too.

  • Cynthia

We absolutely loved this apartment. It had everything we needed, including a full kitchen, which is rare in Amsterdam! Was in a quiet but very nice area and we could walk to the museums and the Dam in easy time and the tram was great. Grocery store and wonderful bakery on our corner and our landlady was very accomodating. Our beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water and lots of light with a patio and great garden backyard. Place to stash our bikes inside was a nice feature. HIGHLY recommend this apartment for a couple or family with child as there is a nice loft with 2 beds and the bath. For the price it cannot be beat in central Amsterdam and we know because we looked for many days last November to find a nonsmoking, full kitchen, inexpensive, centrally located place.

  • Stephen

the apt. was very clean and spacious. The LL was very nice and helpful when asked about things re: apt. The location is great! Close to the tram and grocery store. Not in a touristy area. Would definitely use this apt. again for my next visit!

Our family of 4 (including 2 children) had a great time in this apartment for 5 nights. The pictures were an accurate representation and the garden out the back was an unusual treat in central Amsterdam. Location was excellent and we were able to walk everywhere. Major tram stop, supermarket and restaurants at the end of the street added to the convenience. Plenty of room in the hallway to keep bikes if you rent them and really quiet at night as the room faces away from the road. Canal was 150 metres away. Kids loved the mezzanine level Melbourne Australia

  • Kristin

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. The quiet neighborhood is convenient to everything. Four of us were quite comfortable, and the garden out back was very pretty. We would certainly go back. The only minor negative was that the bathroom was a bit more open than we were used to.

  • Marie

This is a well positoned, charactful studio with lots going for it. Comfy bed and sofa, a light and pleasing living space, good shower and well equiped kitchen area. The street is attractive and mellow, and the flat itself is very peaceful indeed as it's at the back of the building. The area is a canal strolling, bike dodging, beer supping, people watching heaven. Enjoy!

  • Claire

The studio is really lovely. To my opinion, pictures on the website do not do it justice : it really looks better and much bigger in reality than in pictures. It is built up on 2 levels : first level is the main room with an open plan kitchen, a lounge, a dining space (with a beautiful wooden table) and the double bed wich is very large (I would think king size probabily). On the second level, there is the shower room with the toilets and 2 additional separate beds which are really comfy and ideal for kids or even adults. Also there is a large corridor where you can safely keep your rental bikes during the night. The location is also very good as the apartment is equally distant to the Rijk Museum and to Dam Square. Basically, all the main attractions of Amsterdam are reachable within 5-10 minutes walk or 3 minutes bike. The apartment is located in an absolutely charming and quiet street and just 100 meters away from a typical and lovely Amsterdam canal with nice restaurants and bars. There is a supermarket open until very late right at the corner of the street. And the last but not the least is definitely the owner. She is very nice and helpful as without her precious hints, we would still be in trouble trying to find a way to get to the UK following the closure of Amsterdam airport. I would come back anytime to this appartment and would definitely recommed it.
